‎Manchester United have secured the services of Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens in a move that signals their faith in developing one of Europe’s most promising young talents as reported by Manchester Evening News.

‎The 23-year-old completed his transfer from Royal Antwerp on deadline day in a deal worth £18.2 million.

‎Within hours of the agreement, Lammens was flown to Manchester, passed his medical, and signed a five-year contract with the Premier League giants.

‎Although absent from Belgium’s recent World Cup qualifying squad, Lammens has wasted no time settling in at Carrington.

‎He has been training with his new teammates while adjusting to life at Old Trafford, preparing for what could be his first taste of English football in the high-pressure Manchester derby this weekend.

‎United’s pursuit of a new goalkeeper intensified after concerns over the form of Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir in the early stages of the season.

‎At one point, the club explored a move for Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez, even reaching personal terms with the World Cup winner.

‎However, the board opted to prioritize youth and long-term potential, turning their attention to Lammens instead.

‎Football journalist Fabrizio Romano suggested the decision underlined United’s long-term vision. “They believe that this is one of the best young goalkeepers in the world and that Lammens has very good chances to be the starting goalkeeper at Manchester United.”

‎The Belgian shot-stopper departs Antwerp with glowing reviews and the expectation that he can develop into a cornerstone for United’s future.

‎While his first competitive appearance remains uncertain, fans are already eager to see how quickly he adapts to the demands of English football.

Barca never had financial room to register Olmo -La Liga

 La Liga said Wednesday Barcelona did not have the financial capacity to register players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor and still lack it, ahead of a decision by Spain’s sports council (CSD) over the duo’s eligibility to play. In January Barcelona announced a deal had been reached to sell VIP boxes at the club’s Camp Nou stadium, currently being rebuilt, worth a reported 100 million euros ($108 million), which gave them the financial fair play room for new licences for the players.
