Two loan bids are made to Manchester United for Antony, and a Premier League opponent is keen.

According to CNN Portugal via Metro, Manchester United have received two loan bids from Portuguese powerhouse Benfica for winger Antony, while a Premier League club is also believed to be monitoring his availability.

The 25-year-old Brazilian, who joined United from Ajax in 2022 for £82 million, found his rhythm again during a successful loan stint at Real Betis in the second half of last season, scoring nine times. Although Betis is still his preferred destination, they lack the financial means to meet United's valuation.

Manchester United are reportedly aiming for a permanent sale priced at around €50 million (£43.3m), instead of considering another loan deal. Nevertheless, Benfica are working to change their minds. Interest from Brighton, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen further complicates the winger’s next move.

Antony has been sidelined from Ruben Amorim’s main training squad and was excluded from United’s U.S. pre-season tour. In comments earlier this summer, he credited Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini with restoring his confidence and goal-scoring ability.

As the transfer window deadline approaches, Antony’s future remains unclear. United, however, remain intent on finalizing a transfer that aligns with their strategic direction.
