Five Manchester United players have informed the club that they wish to depart and will not be joining the rest of the team for preseason.

 In order to arrange a move away from Old Trafford, Manchester United has postponed their return date until later in July.

Manchester United have allowed five players to report for pre-season later to finalise moves this summer.

Man United have added Matheus Cunha to their squad, having triggered the release clause in his Wolves contract.

They remain in the market for more talent, with Ruben Amorim keen on signing Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo and an England international.

Amorim plans to offload players, too, in level the club's books, with several players linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

Marcus Rashford, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, and Alejandro Garnacho are among the players on the chopping block.

Not to mention Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.

According to journalist Nathan Salt, Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho, Antony and Malacia have been told their required return date to pre-season is later in July so they can try and seal and exit from the club.

And, per Chris Wheeler, the five Man United players will be welcomed back to the club if they cannot secure moves away.

They will also have access and rehab facilities during their time away from the training ground.
