The £84 million double deal made by Manchester United: A New Era of Success?

 



Manchester United is reportedly closing in on two signings, with INEOS accelerating an £84 million double deal. 

The potential signings include Viktor Gyokeres, a striker from Sporting CP, worth around €70 million, and Emiliano Martinez, a goalkeeper from Aston Villa, worth around €30 million.

 Gyokeres is said to be very keen on joining Manchester United despite initial doubts about the club's lack of European football.

 He's expected to earn around £300,000 per week, and Manchester United might need to structure the payment in flexible installments.

Martinez has generated doubts since his arrival at Aston Villa, and Manchester United sees him as a potential replacement for Andre Onana.

 Additionally, Manchester United is also working on signing Matthijs de Ligt, a centre-back from Bayern Munich, worth around €50 million, and Joshua Zirkzee, a striker from Bologna, worth around €40 million. 

De Ligt has agreed personal terms with Manchester United and is eager to join the club, but the transfer is pending an agreement between Manchester United and Bayern Munich. 

Zirkzee's deal is reportedly done, and he'll sign a contract until June 2029.

The INEOS era at Manchester United seems to be gaining momentum, with the club's new leadership aiming to strengthen the squad with strategic signings. 

With these potential signings, Manchester United is looking to bolster its lineup and make a strong push for success in the upcoming season. 

The club's fans are eagerly anticipating the impact these new players will have on the team. As the transfer window progresses, Manchester United's squad is expected to undergo significant changes, with the goal of becoming a more competitive and dominant force in the football world.

 With INEOS at the helm, Manchester United is poised to make a strong comeback.

Barca never had financial room to register Olmo -La Liga

 La Liga said Wednesday Barcelona did not have the financial capacity to register players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor and still lack it, ahead of a decision by Spain’s sports council (CSD) over the duo’s eligibility to play. In January Barcelona announced a deal had been reached to sell VIP boxes at the club’s Camp Nou stadium, currently being rebuilt, worth a reported 100 million euros ($108 million), which gave them the financial fair play room for new licences for the players. La Liga said Barcelona used an unnamed auditor between December 31 and January 3 which recorded the deal on the club’s books, but their current auditor no longer includes it in the club’s interim financial statements for the first part of the 2024-25 season. “No amount from the (VIP box deal) is ultimately recorded in the profit and loss accounts, contrary to what had been certified by the club and the auditor at the time of said transaction,” said La Liga in a statement.
