The Blues are determined to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025–26 season and have identified Kudus as a key target. The Ghana international, who joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023 for a reported €43 million, has impressed in his debut Premier League campaign and is attracting significant interest, according to Sportskeeda.

In an attempt to reduce the cost of a potential transfer, Chelsea reportedly proposed sending both Sanchez and Dewsbury-Hall to West Ham as part of the deal. However, the Hammers have turned down the offer, remaining firm in their valuation of the 24-year-old midfielder.

Kudus’ contract includes an £85 million release clause for Premier League clubs, with a separate £120 million clause applying to foreign sides. Despite recent interest from the Middle East, the player is understood to prefer staying in England, increasing Chelsea’s chances of landing him—if they meet the financial demands.

West Ham’s reluctance to accept Chelsea’s offer signals their intent to keep Kudus or at least secure a substantial fee. Kudus contributed nine goals across all competitions last season and remains a core part of West Ham’s long-term plans.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continue to reshape their squad under new manager Enzo Maresca. The club has already confirmed the signing of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap and is expected to remain active in the market.
