 Marcus Rashford will not be playing for Manchester United next season, the team has stated. The Red Devils revealed their decision when gave out the England international forward’s no.10 shirt to a new signing, Cunha. Football transfer guru, Fabrecio Romano, reports that Ruben Amorim’s side has also told the player’s agent Cunha has taken his shirt. “Man United also confirmed that Rashford’s representatives were informed that Matheus Cunha would be taking his number 10 shirt,” Romano wrote on X. “It’s definitely over between United and Rashford.” He went on to add that the England forward could end at LaLiga giants, Barcelona. Rashford played last season at Aston Villa. “Rashford dreams of Barcelona move as priority for his future,” he added. Meanwhile, Chelsea have also agreed to a scholarship deal for England U18 goalkeeper, Freddy Bernal. The Blues rejected a formal bid from Arsenal a few months ago as he was staying at the club, according to Romano.

Chelsea have made a decisive move in the race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, submitting an official bid as confirmed by renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. 

The Nigerian forward has been at the center of transfer speculation for months, with several top European clubs expressing interest.

 Chelsea’s offer signals their serious intent to land the prolific goalscorer, who has a €130 million release clause in his contract, which runs until June 2026.

Osimhen has reportedly made it clear that he prefers to continue his career in Europe, despite interest from Saudi clubs such as Al Ahli. 

His preference aligns with Chelsea’s vision of rebuilding their squad with elite young talent.

 Manchester United have also shown interest and remain in the background, monitoring the situation closely, although they have yet to make a formal bid.

Fabrizio Romano reports that United are well aware of Osimhen’s qualities and are contemplating a move, but financial aspects including the high release clause and the striker’s wage demands could be potential stumbling blocks.


Osimhen's form has been sensational, especially during his loan stint at Galatasaray, where he netted 35 goals in 39 appearances. This remarkable run has only increased his market value and attracted more suitors.

With Chelsea making the first official move, the pressure is now on other interested clubs to respond. If no one meets his release clause before the end of June, when it reportedly drops to €80 million, the summer transfer saga involving Osimhen could take an even more dramatic turn.
