Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule, has disclosed that no fewer than 20 aspirants have indicated interest to succeed him at the expiration of his tenure in 2027.
The governor who made the revelation in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital during the grand reception of Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Labaran Magaji, said there would be a lot of alliances and forgiveness amongst those vying for the seat.
“I want to use this opportunity to inform you that so far about 20 people are already in the race for the governorship of Nasarawa State.
”So far, that is what I am seeing, so there is going to be a lot of alliances, a lot of forgiveness and a lot of team work if we really want to get to where we are, because at the end of the day only one person will get it.
“It is God Almighty that is going to select our next governor not A.A Sule. For that reason, we must look forward to that support and commend whoever will become the governor 2027,” he said.
Sule, also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support for the state.
