Soldiers track two ruthless bandit leaders to their hidden hideouts after they are killed in a gunfight.

According to DAILY POST,troops from the Nigerian Army under 1 Brigade have killed two more well-known bandit leaders and recovered more weapons in a follow-up mission at Mai Kwanugga village, located in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Credible information from Zagazola Makama revealed that the operation came after a major attack on May 1 by troops from Counter-Terrorism Team 6, where many terrorists were killed, including top commanders Auta Jijji, Dankali, and Sagidi.

Military sources disclosed that at about 5:00 a.m on May 2, soldiers returned to the area along the path where the terrorists likely ran away.

During the search, they found a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) launcher with serial number 50297 and two RPG bombs.

The soldiers also confirmed that two more bandit leaders, Kachallah Rijaji and Kachallah Suza, died during the earlier fighting while people living in the area helped identify them.

Rijaji and Suza were known for leading many violent attacks and kidnappings in Zamfara and nearby states. Their deaths are seen as another major win against terrorist groups in the region.

Troops are now carrying out more clean-up operations to find and remove any remaining bandits or hidden weapons.

The army leadership has promised to keep fighting criminals in the North-West and asked locals to continue giving useful information to help.
