Phyno denies selling N10 billion estate and advises Igbos not to invest in Lagos.

Nigerian musician Chibuzor Azubike Nelson, well known as Phyno, has replied to a journalist's accusation that he sold his N10 billion Lagos mansion to an Arab businessman out of tribal loyalty.

The journalist said that Phyno had remarked it was a mistake to invest in Yoruba country, where his Igbo people are not welcome.

In a now-deleted tweet, journalist JustSociety4All stated, "Musician Phyno has allegedly sold off his N10 billion estate in Lagos to an Arab man from Libya." According to Phyno, establishing such an estate in Yoruba territory was a mistake, as he believes his people are not welcome.

“He stated, ‘The last election opened my eyes. The hatred towards Igbos is something that seems like it will last forever. Instead of building in Yoruba land, I’m relocating my estate to Enugu, where my people will make good use of it and it will remain safe for generations.'”

Reacting, Phyno dismissed the report as a “lie,” questioning what the journalist intended to achieve with it.

He wrote, “You are a fool for cooking up this type of lie!!! Where are you heading with this? Anwu nta.”
