Bayelsa: Diri Isn't Like Fubara; He Told Wike, "Don't Come And If You Dare It, Anything Can Happen"—Igbe

Anabs Sara Igbe, a former Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) spokesperson, has commented on the ongoing tension between Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri and Minister Nyesom Wike. He stated that Wike intended to visit Bayelsa for a political event, but Governor Diri fiercely opposed it.

Igbe told Symfoni TV that Governor Diri is not like Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. He added that Diri had plainly told Wike not to travel to Bayelsa, and that there may be dire repercussions if he did.

In Igbe's words: "They wanted to do it in Bayelsa when Wike said he wants to go there. He should have gone there and see what would happen to him. Diri is not like Fubara, Diri said to Wike 'don't come and if you dare it anything can happen'. And when it happens who are you going to blame? You see we must be careful"
