Arsenal received a major injury boost as two key players returned from injury ahead of the Real Madrid clash.

 Arsenal has got a significant injury boost ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid, as both Ben White and Thomas Partey have returned to training. The two had been among Mikel Arteta's top fitness worries following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Brentford.Arteta had opted to rotate his lineup for that Premier League match, given that the title race appears to be slipping away. 

Despite his efforts to avoid further injuries, Partey—who had been deployed at right-back—was forced off during the second half after scoring Arsenal’s only goal. Arteta offered little detail afterward, saying only, “He felt something,” and explained that the team didn't want to risk him further. The severity remained unclear at the time.

Jorginho also started against Brentford but had to be withdrawn after taking a hit to the ribs and chest. “The issue was breathing,” Arteta said, noting that Jorginho couldn’t continue. The Italian midfielder was absent from Monday’s training session, casting doubt on his availability for the Madrid clash.

Defender Riccardo Calafiori also missed the Brentford match and was not spotted in pre-match training either. However, Gabriel Martinelli, who had suffered a heavy challenge at the weekend, did train with the group.

Ben White’s season has been riddled with injuries. Although he returned to action against Everton, he was only a late substitute in the first leg against Real Madrid and picked up another knock before the Brentford fixture. Partey was one of the last players to emerge during the open training session, keeping fans guessing. Meanwhile, Arsenal remain without Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Takehiro Tomiyasu—all sidelined for the rest of the season.

Due to injuries, Jakub Kiwior has stepped in at centre-back. Arsenal, who go into the second leg with a strong position, aim to book their spot in the semi-finals where they would face the winner of PSG vs. Aston Villa. PSG currently lead that tie 3-1 ahead of Tuesday’s second leg at Villa Park.
